2.DAY: SVETVINČENAT – BALE – FOŠKA
Breakfast. After breakfast we go to Svetvinčenat to visit KAŠTELA. Throughout almost the entire northern side of the Place lies the stone quadrangular castle Grimani, the most preserved on the peninsula and the largest Svetvinčenat building that for centuries has been a symbol of the place and destination, a long time ago of soldiers, guests of the gentry, travelers and merchants, and today curious passers-by and tourists.
After visiting Kaštela we go to a nearby family farm Pekica – hosts are engaged in lavender cultivation, with short training and walking in the field of lavender, we will taste homemade strudel and lavender bread, cottage cheese covered with olive oil and lavender, lavender brandy and lavender syrup ….
Continuing the drive towards Bala – a place of virgin beauty that is characterized by natural resources, untouched nature and rich cultural and architectural heritage.
We will walk to the Old Town center, within which is the famous Soardo-Bembo castle, the parish church Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the crypt.
After the walk we drive to the nearby Saint Foška – small church i.e. pilgrimage place in Istria, which has always been visited by people from the surrounding area; many have argued, and today they claim that their health condition has improved here and that they have found peace and strength for life.
Back to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight stay.
