We continue to Ilok, a transit-tourist, port and border town on the Dunav, which is also known as the most eastern town in Croatia. An important cultural and monumental heritage makes Ilok an extremely interesting center of this part of Croatia.

Ilok is the center of a rich wine-growing region. Ilok wines (Traminer, Burgundy, Riesling), as well as excellent Ilok cuisine are known outside the Croatian borders. Tour of the city, church and sanctuary of Sv. Ivan Kapistran and going to the Ilok Cellars – tour and wine tasting. Departure to Zagreb in the afternoon, and expected arrival in the evening.

The largest Croatian town and river port on the Danube, famous for its magnificent battle in the Homeland War and the devastating destruction. Among the many attractive, but in the war of heavily damaged buildings, the 18th-century Eltz family castle stands out, the Baroque building in the center of the city, the Franciscan monastery, the parish church of St. Jakov, Orthodox Church of St. Nicholaj and others. Vučedol, a rich archaeological site, is located outside the city on the Dunav coast towards Ilok.

The ritual vessel Vučedol Dove is considered the symbol of the city. Vučedol is also a well-known excursion destination, a fish paradise with a beautiful sandy beach on Orlov Island.

The attractive mouth of the River Vuk in the Dunav, the promenade along the Danube River and the beaches offer sports and recreational activities throughout the year, especially in the warm part of the year when it is possible to swim. On the rivers Dunav and Vuk  fishing (catfish, perch, carp, pike, sturgeon) is  popular.
